Megan is a Certified Health and Nutrition Coach that works with top athletes, working professionals, and over-worked, over-stressed people across the country to help them optimize their health.

She focuses on getting to the root of her patients’ issues, whether it be gut, weight, or energy related. Her approach to health and wellness encompasses the idea of bio-individuality. Each body is different and should be treated as such.

Megan’s Story

My love for health and wellness started when I learned how to cook at a young age. Although I was a little “off” on my idea’s of what health truly meant, I developed a love for nourishing the body and mind at an early age.

After graduating from Colorado State University with a bachelors degree in Business, I rounded out my education with certifications in the wellness industry, including becoming certified as a Health Coach through The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, certified as a 200 Hr Yoga Instructor through Gaia Flow Yoga, and became certified to instruct Steel Mace and Hot Onnit strength and conditioning class.

Before moving into the Wellness world full-time, I spent years in a fast-paced corporate job until my health and well-being began to take a toll. Finally, I began to realize that the stress not only affected my mental health, but my physical health as well. I decided I had enough of the endless stress and decided to pursue my passion. I started my own practice helping clients with weight, inflammation, and stress management meanwhile working for a functional medicine doctor, Dr. Amy Myers, in Austin, Texas.

In the midst of moving my practice full-time, I became very sick and was diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease, Hypothyroidism, gut dysbiosis, Candida, and a host of infections and viruses associated with Lyme. After conventional medicine failed me, I took my health into my own hands and focused on gut health and overall inflammation to heal from the inside out.

After changing my diet, exercise regimen, stress management techniques, and lifestyle as a whole, I felt better than I had in years.

My approach to health coaching incorporates what I learned from my time working with a world-renowned functional medicine doctor, my studies at IIN, and my own experience.

San Antonio, Texas is where I call home, with my husband Trey, sweet daughter Wesley, and Great Dane, Gypsy. You can find my teaching or practicing hot yoga, lifting heavy weights, or traveling to the family house in Colorado to hike and ski.
